Why I Joined: I joined the New Healthy You Club to get inspired and to get advice from Guideposts’ experts in health and wellness.
My Goal: I’m trying to lose 20 pounds and exercise four times a week for 30 minutes. I’d also like to improve my quality of life and be more consistent about healthy eating and managing stress.
My Challenge: My life can get so busy that I have to be extremely intentional and actively plan my meals and exercise time. And I have to forgive myself when I occasionally miss the mark, because life happens!
A Word from the Wise: I’ve found that putting my goals in writing helps me stick to them. I also bought a treadmill, and that has made exercising so much easier for me. I am much more likely to work out if my fitness routine is easy and convenient.
And of course, it’s always good to recruit your family and friends for support; it’s easier if you have an accountability partner than it is to go it alone.

I have also found "actively
I have also found "actively planning" exercise and food to be helpful -- I try to write it down and schedule it just like I would an appointment. Somehow, it is easier to stick to if it's written down, not just something you're hoping to get to today (because so many things happen that exercise always ends up getting pushed to the side).
Four times a week for 30 minutes sounds like a reasonable exercise plan to keep. Great that you have a treadmill right in your home! Keep us updated on your progress! :-)
