On television, Farrah Fawcett became famous for playing a member of an all-female crime-fighting team known as Charlie's Angels.
But in real life, those closest to her remember her as a real-life angel who had nothing but friendship and love to give to family and friends.
After Fawcett succumbed to cancer on June 25, her long-time partner Ryan O'Neal paid tribute to the love of his life by saying, "We take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."
The proof of Fawcett's inspiration to fans worldwide is evident in the outpouring of fan tributes on the internet.
Joel Paradise of Niagara Falls, New York, writes on USA Today's Opinion blog that Fawcett "saved her best act for last" by documenting her struggle with cancer on film so others could find hope from her "fortitude, spirit and positive attitude."
It is clear that despite Fawcett's passing, her spirit will live on.
Childhood friend Alana Stewart said that Farrah "will always be there as that angel on the shoulder of everyone who loved her."
