I hope you know that I consider you a friend. I believe that people like you should be treasured, because the Lord brought you to us to continue our important work.
The fact is the events of the last year have left many of us feeling frightened, confused and powerless.
An economic downturn pressures countless families. Natural disasters and terrorism throughout our world have shattered our sense of security. Drugs threaten the lives of the children we love. Moral values are disappearing and crime continues to climb.
Is it any wonder that many of our neighbors are facing a spiritual crisis unlike any they’ve ever known? I keep asking myself what is best to do in this situation. Should we extend our Prayer Ministry hours to be available for all desperate people? Print and distribute more copies of our books, booklets and magazines that bring spiritual comfort and guidance to so many? Enlarge our Website? Or extend our Outreach Ministry to serve more people?
Then I realize: we should do it all. We should move heaven and earth to reach out to those in desperate need.
It is up to me – and to cherished friends like you to make a difference in today’s world. It won’t be easy. Budget constraints could not happen at a worse time. We are desperate to continue our programs at Guideposts Outreach ministries. Our goal is to minister to the tens of thousands of people who turn to us for help through these troubled times.
Your generous and timely donation is greatly needed. Can you find a way to help me in these challenging times?
God bless you for your unselfish support of all our good work.
Blessings on you and yours,
Elizabeth Peale Allen
