1. Beaches and pools. (I love the lake! Closest "coast" to me.)
2. Berries start to come into season. (Pie season!)
3. Graduations. New beginnings are cool. Not to mention the summer vacations after you graduate from something, with the promise of starting something totally new in the fall.
4. Warm weather, dependably. (In the Midwest cold weather often lasts through May, but June is pretty much dependably warm.)
5. Full garden centers. Not just flowers, but patio furniture, umbrellas, fountains, decorative rocks, hummingbird feeders...all that outdoor stuff that I love to look at. I envision my dream yard and usually buy a couple things to add. (Last year it was trellises. This year it's a new pond we're working on.)
1) The farmers' markets open up with fresh produce. 2) the weather gets warmer! 3) I can sleep with windows wide open. 4) Local strawberries are out and lusciously sweet. 5) June has the longest daylight.
