Why must we argue with each other about faith choices? It is not lost on me that most feel there faith is the "right" one, however, have you ever just met someone and started getting to know them with no mention of your choice of belief? It can be very rewarding. Is there any benefit in arguing about it? Does arguing really produce the love that most of these faiths say is most important?
I swear most of the arguements and fights are over such little differences. Three of the major religions are people who all consider themselves children of abraham. Muslims, Christians and Jews have the same God and share much of their history and belief. I think it is like my two teenagers, more sibling rivalry and "Dad loves me best" and when we get where we are going we will probably realize we have all been headed for the same destination all along. Just calling it by different names!
The Bible tells us not to have religious disputations with others, which all the more reason not to. I don't remember the exact scripture. All Christian faiths have some truth to them. I go to my Catholic Mass every morning and receive the real presence of Jesus through Communion. That is the biggest difference between Catholic and Protestant religions. Yet; I don't argue about religion with others because I believe we are all Christians if we truly live our lives day to day for Jesus. God bless, Mary
