I have felt the same way for a long long time. I found that when I pray when it's convenient instead of rather that I should pray, prayer comes easier. What's helping me too is sometimes getting to services at the least busy times they're held. I don't think it matters to God if I'm in his House on a weekday early morning or weekday evening or a Sunday morning. I pray for you simply to find a place for you inside of you then you'll find time to recognize even more God.

I have had the problem with my mind straying whenever I pray. I look at it as God leading me to pray for the thing my mind wanders to. Like if I am praying for someone in my family and my mind strays to thinking about work, then I pray for that incident at work that came to mind. The Bible says to "Pray without ceasing" I see that as having a constant conversation with God about whatever comes to mind when you are talking to Him.. That includes praising Him, thanking Him for the Good and the Bad and whatever your mind strays to.

I love to pray Bible verses, and always find something in the Psalms that fits my need. Psalm 121 is one of my favorites to pray over my sons and my family members. Psalm 145 is a fantastic prayer of praise! Psalm 139 reminds us of how precious we are to God, and Psalm 103 is a wonderful praise too! The Bible is so full of promises to claim and "songs" to sing! Give it a try!

Just keep saying in your prayers let it be your will not my will and just wait on him in the quiet and he will answers prayers. For all I do is pray sing hymns and thank him for everything bad weather good weather. A lot of people say I wish the rain would go away. What a mistake that is his doing and we have no control over it. For it rained 40 days and 40 nights We are blessed for I am to blessed to be stressed. It will get better for all of us. Just wait.
